HERITAGE FARMERS CLUB PULLING RULES
1) Driver must be 14 years of age or older. Those under 18 years of age must have written parental/guardian permission. Drivers must remain seated at all times in a forward or normal position. No bouncing on seat. One hand on the steering wheel at aII times. Drivers must obey signals from the flagman! When the flagman throws the red flag, you are to stop immediately, NOT throttle the tractor up and proceed down the track or dig holes. Only people allowed on the track during a pull are the sled operator, flagman, and tractor driver. NO EXCEPTIONS
2) All hook fees are $15 per tractor per class.
3) Weights must not extend rearward beyond rear tires and cannot be more than 11 feet from the center of the rear axle to the furthest point forward. Nor more the 12 inches from the side of rear tire. All weights must be stationary and secured safely to the tractor. No weights chained to the seat. No moving of weight during pull. If anything should fall from the tractor (weights. parts. or etc.) while hooked to the sled. disqualification will result. No slipping or feathering of the clutch will be allowed (whether in the middle of a pull or at the end of the pull) you will be disqualified.
4) Pull one time, in one class, per tractor. No double entries except for the Out of the Field (Division I) classes.
5) All tractors must have wheelie bars except for the Out of the Field tractors. Wheelie bars should not be attached to the drawbar in any way. Minimum requirements for the wheelie bars are as follows: 10" maximum above the ground. the back of the wheelie bar is to extend 5" behind the tire radius. Pads = 5" square minimum, spaced minimum of 20" from the outside of each pad, and stabilizer bar system must be able to support the weight of the tractor in the heaviest class pulled.
6) Tractor weight will include drivers in all classes. Div II tractors may pull in Div III and Div IV.
7) White lines will show boundaries. Any tractor on or over white lines will be disqualified.
8) NO TEST PULLS. NO TEST PULLING BEFORE PULL BEGINS.
9) To protest any part of a tractor, you must put up $100 Protest fee, except for any member of the pulling committee, the flagman, or boat operator. If the protested tractor is NOT in any fault of protest, the fee will remain with the protested tractor.
10) NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ALLOWED ON THE GROUNDS. No tractor puller under the influence of alcohol will be allowed to hook to the sled at any pull.
11) PAYBACK
12) Before the pull begins. the pulling sled will be pulled down the track to establish a full pull distance of 200 feet long. (except when we pull at Jipson Street track.) The transfer box on the sled will also determine a full pull, whichever comes first.
13) The rules will be interpreted by the Pulling Committee. Any unforeseen problems or over sights will be ruled on by the Pulling Committee with their ruling being final.
14) Any member guilty of defacing or destroying property of the Heritage Farmers Club Inc. will be dropped from membership and will not be able to participate in any club functions.
15) Gas, Diesel or LP fuels only. No alcohol or nitrous oxide fuels may be used in tractors. Gas is allowed with a maximum specific gravity of 750. All tractors are subject to random fuel checks. Tractors manufactured to use diesel fuel only cannot be converted to LP.
16) a 10% margin of error will be permitted in Div 1, 2 and 3. Div 4 will be 20% margin and Div 5 will be 30% margin. Division 4 and 5 will be allowed to use turbos, but must use respective RPMs.
17) Replacement carburetors allowed but with no modification of carburetor or manifold. Overhang of carburetor to manifold is not allowed. Only stock appearing manifolds are allowed. Tractors must be naturally aspirated. No turbo or blowers except for Oliver 99 GM and etc. Enhanced electrical system permitted in all classes. No rev limiters.
18) Tractors engine must be stock or engine must be from original manufacture and must bolt in without modifications using existing bell housing and motor mounts. Frames. transmissions. rear end. and axle housings must be original or manufacturer's replacement. Dual exhaust not allowed except if a after market stock manifold.
19) Oliver 88. Farmall M. Massey 44. MM U. JD G. Case C/D series. JD A (1940 and newer) and like size tractors are not allowed in classes below 4500 pounds. Massey 33. Oliver 77. JD A (1939 and older) and like size tractors are not allowed in classes below 4000 pounds.
20) Wheelie bars, kill switches, all electric fuels pumps must be wired to the kill switch. All safety equipment will be checked randomly by the Pulling Committee.
21) These rules will be reviewed each year.
22) Fenders are recommended but not required in all classes.
Division I
Age: 1960 and Older
1) 3.5 mph speed limit, Pull in any gear
2) Point of hitch must be behind radius of tires with a 18" draw bar height. You are allowed 18 inchesfrom center of the axle to hooking point. If you choose to use 18 inches from center of axle wheelie bars are mandatory. Draw bar height remains the same.
3) Factory weights or suitcase weights are allowable but must be secured tightly anywhere on the tractor
4) Torque cannot be shifted while pulling
5) No cut tires or sharpened tires
6) If front end comes up flagman's analysis to whether the pull is flagged
7) A 10% margin of error RPMs
8) Appropriate size tire according to Nebraska Test Book
9) Weight limited to 7,500 pounds
10) No visible modification of tractir
11) Tractor must be a 2-wheel type
12) Kill switches are recommended, but not required
Division II
Classes: 2700, 2900, 3250, 4000, 4500, 5000, 5500, 6000, 6500 and 7500
Age: 1960 and Older (Any model of tractor that started that year will be accepted)
Draw Bars: Draw bars must not exceed 18 inches in height or less than 18 inches from center of axle to hooking point. No part of draw bar may extend beyond point of hook. Draw bars must be stationary in all directions. NO CLEVIS!
Tires: No radial tires, steel wheels or duals. Two-wheel drive only. No cutting of the leading edge of the tire or casing allowed. Manufacture data must be intact. Tire sizes will be maximum 200 square inch or less up to 4,000 lb classes; 229 square inches 4,500 lb. classes and above. Any rim width allowed. No aluminum rims.
Speed Limit: Any gear, speed limit will be 3.5 mph checked by radar. No shifting of TA' s.
Division III and Division III Plus
Classes: 2700, 2900, 3250, 4000, 4500, 5000, 5500, 6000, 6500 and 7500
Age: 1960 and Older (any model of tractor that started that year will be accepted)

Tires: No radial tires, steel wheels or duals. Two-wheel drive only. Any cut on tire and any size tire allowed. Any rim width allowed.
Speed Limit: Any gear, speed limit will be 10 mph checked by radar. No shifting of TA' s.
Turbos: Turbos are allowed in this division.
Antique Altered Class
Classes: 4000, 5000, and 6000.
Age: 1965 and older
Draw bars: Draw bars must not exceed 20 inches in height or less than 20 inches from center of the axle to hooking point. No part of draw bar may extend rearward beyond point of hook. Draw bars must be stationary in all directions. NO CLEVIS!
General Rules: Must follow all the general rules as listed.

- 6 or 8 cylinders
- Must be and look like a complete tractor.
- Must have either a belt or gear driven governor
- NO turbo blowers or fuel injection. Run on pump gas only.
- RPM' s will be no more than 5,000. Also any antique or farmstock tractor entering this class will bring their RPMs with them.
- Each tractor needs a cable around engine with a minimum of a 3/8 cable with two cable clamps and a scatter blanket.
